lyrics

I don’t need to be
Reminded of all my flaws
I used to think of you as flowers in bloom,
Now you’re just an empty vase

I’m tired of all the false claims
And all your hypocrisy
You try to falsify to naive eyes,
You’re not who you portray

Adoration is withering
Well rehearsed in playing the victim
I know you’re not as innocent
As you make yourself out to be
I spent most of this past year
Trapped inside my head
Living in constant fear
And existential dread

I often sit and try and think about a time that I used to be happy. But to tell you the truth, it's been so long that I can barely recall. I used to be an open book before the cynicism that now runs through my veins was injected by your toxic and abusive behaviour. I often sit and try and think about a time that I used to be happy. But that's not me in those memories. It's just someone that looks like me.

Trying to fit broken pieces
back together has proven useless
Stop making excuses
And get over yourself, you’re fucking clueless

Adoration is withering
Well rehearsed in playing the victim
I know you’re not as innocent
As you make yourself out to be
I spent most of this past year
Trapped inside my head
Living in constant fear
And existential dread
